Screw type chiller is named screw chiller because its key component - compressor adopts screw chiller, the unit evaporates out of the state for the gas refrigerant; After adiabatic compression by the compressor, it becomes high temperature and high pressure. After being compressed, the gas refrigerant enters the condenser, changes into the liquid refrigerant after condensation, and then expands to low pressure through the throttle valve, and becomes the gas-liquid mixture. The liquid refrigerant under low temperature and low pressure absorbs the heat of the cold substance in the evaporator and becomes the gaseous refrigerant again. The gaseous refrigerant re-enters the compressor through the pipeline to start a new cycle. So these are the four processes of the freezing cycle. It is also the main working principle of screw chiller.
Application

Screw type chiller can be divided into water-cooled screw chiller and air-cooled screw chiller according to different heat dissipation modes
Feature
Screw type chiller belongs to medium cold capacity range (100KW ~ 3000KW), mainly because its compressor is semi-closed screw type, piston type, vortex type, off-line type has the following main characteristics:
1. Screw compressor compared with piston compressor, simple structure, less moving parts, no reciprocating movement of inertia force, high speed, smooth motion;
2. Under the same cooling capacity, screw chiller is light in weight. That is, the single machine cooling capacity is large;
3. Because the compressor cylinder no clearance volume and suction, exhaust valve plate, so it has a high volumetric efficiency;
4. Screw type chiller wear less parts, parts are only one tenth of the piston type, reliable operation, easy maintenance and repair;
5. Screw compressor is not sensitive to wet stroke, allow a small amount of liquid, no liquid strike risk, no need to increase the gas-liquid separation system;
6. Screw chiller energy regulation is simple, the refrigerant can be stepless regulation according to the slide valve, so as to adjust the cooling capacity;
7. The operation of the unit is very reliable, with a variety of automatic safety protection functions, to ensure the normal operation of the unit for a long time;
8. Screw type chiller adopts intelligent touch screen control, easy to operate, easier to troubleshoot;
Key points for selection and use of screw type chiller:
1. The main control parameters of screw type chiller are refrigeration performance coefficient, rated cooling capacity, input power and refrigerant type, etc.
2. The selection of chiller should be considered according to the cooling load and use. For refrigeration system with long time of low load operation, it is advisable to choose multi-head piston compressor or screw compressor, which is easy to adjust and save energy.
3. When selecting chillers, the chillers with higher performance coefficient value should be given priority. According to the data statistics, the running time of the general chiller under 100% load accounts for less than 1/4 of the total running time. The proportion of 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% load in the total running time is 2.3%, 41.5%, 46.1% and 10.1%. Therefore, in the selection of chiller should give priority to the efficiency curve is relatively flat models. At the same time, in the design selection should consider the chiller load adjustment range. Partial load performance of multi-head screw type chiller is excellent and can be selected according to the actual situation.
4. When selecting chiller, attention should be paid to the conditions of nominal working conditions. The actual cooling output of chiller is related to the following factors:
a) cold water outlet temperature and flow rate;
b) Inlet temperature, flow rate and fouling coefficient of cooling water.
5. When selecting chiller, attention should be paid to the normal working range of this type of unit, mainly because the current limit of main motor is the current value of shaft power under nominal working conditions.
6. Attention should be paid in the design selection: under the nominal flow condition, the outlet temperature of cold water should not exceed 15℃, and the outdoor dry bulb temperature of air cooling unit should not exceed 43℃. If the above range must be exceeded, we should know whether the use of the compressor range is allowed, the power of the main motor is sufficient.
Maintenance of screw type chiller:
1. Screw type chiller is installed or used again after long-term disuse. The cooling speed should be reasonable: it is appropriate to control it at 8-10 ° C every day, and it should be maintained for a period of time at 0 ° C.
2. Screw type chiller compressor maintenance, every 6-12 months or regularly check whether the compressor freezing oil is reduced, if necessary, should be timely supplemented or replaced.
3. Screw type chiller evaporator. The maintenance and long-term use of condenser will cause a small amount of impurities to stay on the copper tube of condenser in the water circulation system, which will scale the copper tube wall, lead to poor heat dissipation of condenser and cause high and low pressure failure. The water chiller should be cleaned regularly with the special cleaning agent.
4. Screw type chiller environmental requirements, the unit should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, the surrounding environment should be kept clean, air-cooled screw chiller must ensure that there is a good ventilation effect around.
