  Chiller water cooler mainly uses four main components: compressor, evaporator, condenser, and expansion valve to realize the state change of the flowing working medium in the unit, and then achieve the effect of cooling and heating.

  According to the different compressors used, the chiller includes screw chiller, scroll chiller, centrifugal chiller and piston chiller. For example, we commonly see "screw chiller", "scroll chiller", "screw low temperature chiller" and so on in the manufacturer's product brochures.

  Depending on the temperature to be controlled, the chiller is divided into a low temperature industrial chiller and a normal temperature chiller. The temperature of the normal temperature unit is generally controlled within the range of 0°C to 35°C. The temperature control of the low temperature unit is generally around 0℃~-100℃. According to the outlet water temperature, industrial chillers generally have the following categories: outlet water temperature: -25°C to -5°C; outlet water temperature: -25°C to -45°C; outlet water temperature: lower than -45°C.

  According to different refrigeration forms, chillers can generally be divided into water-cooled and air-cooled. Water-cooled chillers are divided into water-cooled chillers, water-cooled brine chillers, and water-cooled glycol chillers according to different refrigerants. In daily use, many people refer to it as a water-cooled unit for short.

  The water-cooled chiller realizes heat dissipation through water, that is, the shell and tube evaporator is used to exchange heat between the water and the refrigerant. Shell and tube condenser, heat exchange between refrigerant and water, so that the water absorbs heat and then takes the heat out of the external cooling tower through the water pipe to dissipate.

  The air-cooled chiller adopts a fin-type condenser, and the air is forced to flow through the fan to take away the heat of the refrigerant. has certain advantages. Air-cooled chillers are suitable for use in water-deficient areas or in mobile situations, especially for small chillers that do not require much cooling capacity, mostly air-cooled chillers. In addition, for areas with poor water quality, the use of water-cooled chillers is likely to cause scaling of the condenser and blockage of water pipes. However, if the finned condenser used in the air-cooled chiller has too much dust on the surface, it will greatly affect the heat exchange efficiency. Therefore, a dust filter must be installed in front of the cooling fins of the air-cooled chiller, and Regular cleaning is required.

  In terms of energy efficiency, the cooling capacity of water-cooled chillers is 300-500kcal/h higher than that of air-cooled chillers. GB19577 "Limited Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades of Chillers" stipulates the energy efficiency grades of chillers. Manufacturers should indicate the rated energy efficiency grades of the chillers on the factory documents of their products.


  The difference between air cooling and water cooling equipment.

  The first is the difference in the composition of refrigeration systems.

  To put it simply, we can generally see the cooling towers on the roofs of factories and buildings, which are also used for heat dissipation, and the water-cooled chiller is matched with the cooling tower, while the other is not required for cooling towers, and uses air directly. Cold, is an air-cooled chiller.

  One does not require a cooling tower, and the other has its own fan for cooling. This is the biggest difference between the air-cooled and water-cooled appearance of industrial chillers.


  The second is the volume of the chiller equipment. Because the water-cooled equipment is equipped with fixed facilities such as water towers, the volume is much larger than that of the air-cooled unit, and the larger the cooling capacity, the larger the volume.

  Water-cooled chillers are open type, box type, and screw type, and need to install water pumps and cooling towers. The water quality conditions are high, and poor water quality will affect the heat exchange efficiency and even reduce the life of the equipment. The cooling capacity of water cooling is higher than that of air cooling, and the operating noise is lower. It is suitable for dust-free workshops, data centers, chip laboratories, and electronic computer rooms.
