Screw compressor chiller is a vapor compression refrigeration equipment. Its refrigeration is to provide energy to the refrigerant vapor through compressed air to increase its pressure and temperature, and then through the process of condensation throttling to make it into a low pressure, so that it vaporizes in the evaporator, and at the same time, it absorbs energy from the surrounding environment (such as cold water) by absorbing it. The heat is used to reduce the temperature of the refrigerant and realize artificial refrigeration.
1.How to choose the right screw compressor chiller
In many industrial productions, such as coating, mechanical processing, and chemical synthesis processes, equipment will generate heat during operation. When the heat cannot be dissipated in time, it will affect the normal operation of the equipment and the quality of products and its Productivity. At this point, we need refrigeration equipment for cooling.
How should we choose the right screw compressor chiller?
(1) Chilled water volume
Usually in the production equipment or production material in the production and processing, when it needs cooling, screw compressor chiller and production equipment pipe inlet and outlet will have a temperature difference, the temperature difference is the heat generated by the production equipment. Need to clear with the chiller manufacturer.
(2) Chiller cooling capacity
Screw chiller in the cooling capacity of the size, can be directly related to the production equipment and operating efficiency, if the cooling capacity is small, it can not reach the cooling, to small will reduce productivity, to large will cause the equipment can not run.
The quality of refrigeration and water temperature flow has a great relationship, in the selection of matching cooling capacity is still very key.
(3) The solution properties of the production and processing materials.
We should also be very clear when using, production equipment and its materials need or can withstand the highest and lowest temperature, acid and alkali resistance characteristics, so as not to affect the equipment or materials.
To avoid these situations, we must learn to correctly use the volume, weight, specific heat, and density of equipment parts or raw materials for production and processing!
(4) Equipment cooling medium
Commonly used are: tap water, grease, seawater, food and beverages, etc., which are needed in daily life, such as tap water for mold cooling or cooling oil cooling, and electroplating electrolyte cooling needs to pass into the coil of chilled water cool down.
In some processes, ethylene glycol, alcohol, and brine are required as refrigerants. The application environment of the screw compressor chiller is different, and the medium is also different. It needs to be customized by the chiller manufacturer.
(5)Air-cooled or water-cooled screw chiller?
The water-cooled screw chiller itself is cooled, so it is called water-cooled. There are two more water pipes in the pipeline than the air-cooled screw chiller, but the water-cooled effect is much better than the air-cooled chiller. The installation is very convenient, and industry partners can choose according to their own.
2. Working principle of screw compressor chiller
The screw chiller has four important links: compression, condensation, throttling, and evaporation.
(1) Compression link: After the refrigerant vapor in the evaporator is sent to the screw compressor, it is usually a motor, and the compressor impeller provides energy, thereby increasing the pressure of the refrigerant vapor and flowing into the condenser; As the compression ends, the temperature of the refrigerant vapor also increases.
(2) Condensation link: The high-pressure and high-temperature refrigerant vapor enters the condenser, and the heat is discharged through the cooling water in the condensing pipe to reduce its temperature, and at the saturation pressure (condensing pressure corresponding to the condensing temperature), it condenses into a liquid state.
At this time, since the heat of the refrigerant vapor is absorbed, the temperature of the cooling water will rise. The temperature of the cooling water is directly related to the condensation temperature (condensation pressure).
(3) Throttling link: When the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant liquid at the bottom of the condenser passes through the throttle valve, it will generate pressure expansion, which will reduce the pressure and temperature, and turn into a low-pressure or low-temperature liquid into the vaporizer.
(4) Evaporation process: In the evaporator, the low-pressure and low-temperature refrigerant liquid absorbs the heat of the refrigerant, evaporates into a gas, and reduces the temperature of the refrigerant at the same time, thereby performing artificial cooling, and the refrigerant vapor in the evaporator is then cooled by the compressor. Suction compression, repeat the above compression, condensation, throttling and evaporation process.
This cycle enables continuous cooling (heating). The cooling capacity is proportional to the suction speed of the compressor. The screw compressor is equipped with a slide valve device, which is used to control the intake air volume of the compressor and the evaporation of the refrigerant, so that the cooling capacity can be continuously adjusted within a specific range.


3. Features of screw compressor chiller
The screw compressor chiller has many characteristics: for example, the compressor of the unit adopts a semi-hermetic screw compressor and electronic control components, and is equipped with a condenser and an evaporator made of high-quality copper tubes with high heat exchange efficiency.
Equipped with various safety protection devices, stable performance, low noise, long service life and simple operation; using LCD display man-machine interface, the operation is simple and convenient, and the operating status is clear at a glance! The purpose of use is also very clear.
Facilitates energy regulation and is more energy efficient at partial loads.

The heat exchange efficiency of the evaporator is also relatively high, which can be effectively higher than that of the dry type evaporator. The same cooling capacity unit will be slightly smaller than the dry type.

4. Maintenance of screw compressor chillers
(1) Screw compressor
The screw compressor is a very critical component in the unit, and the quality of the compressor is directly related to the stability of the unit. If the compressor fails. Due to the high installation accuracy requirements of screw compressors, it is generally necessary to ask the manufacturer for maintenance.
(2) Cleaning of condenser and evaporator
Because the cooling water of water-cooled condenser is an open circulation loop, the tap water is generally circulated by the cooling tower
Then, it is necessary to replace the frozen oil in the normal use of the chiller for 1 to 3 years. If the oil in it is not replaced in time, it will affect the oil mirror to become cloudy, yellow and unclear.
In addition, its condenser has been used for a long time, and it also needs to be cleaned regularly. When using the screw, you need to use a brush to clean the dirt inside.
For example, the filter element in the filter also needs to be replaced, and the other oil filter should also be replaced. , to see if there will be a power outage inside, press the wire with your hand to see if it is loose, and if so, tighten it.
If it is necessary to detect and repair it, it is best if it is not, at least to ensure that its safety is still high.
