In the process of production, the injection molding machine needs to cool the mold to achieve rapid condensation of plastic, improve product quality, and improve production efficiency. Here, the supplement of the chiller is indispensable. The chiller is used in the injection molding machine to achieve rapid coagulation of the plastic through four steps of extrusion, bottle blowing, thermoplasticity and hydraulic system. This shows the importance of the chiller to the injection molding machine. So how to choose a suitable chiller, give you some suggestions:
1. What factors should be paid attention to in the selection of chillers
In the production of injection molding machines, more than 80% of the molding cycle of plastic products is used for cooling molding, so shortening the cooling time is the key to increasing output and enhancing benefits. However, shortening the cooling time depends on the amount of ice water energy. Too much ice water energy will lead to excessive energy consumption and waste, while too little ice water energy will not achieve the best cooling effect. In mold cooling, the choice of ice water energy depends on its specific heat capacity with the molding material, the temperature at the time of the sol, the weight, and the temperature when the product is released from the mold.
In mold cooling, the ice water pressure is generally selected at 0.1-0.2Mpa. When it exceeds 0.2Mpa, a chiller with greater strength is required to meet such pressure requirements.
2. The relationship between the temperature difference of ice water in the chiller and the flow rate
The cooling temperature of different plastic products is not the same, which will form the temperature difference between ice and water required for cooling. The temperature difference between ice and water is generally 3℃-5℃, but sometimes 1℃-2℃. As far as the temperature difference is concerned, the smaller the temperature difference, the more ice water flow is required to take away the same amount of heat, and conversely, the smaller the ice water flow is required. This is what you need to know when choosing a chiller.
3. The influence of ice water quality on the use of chillers
In the use of the chiller, attention should be paid to softening the water, and at the same time, pay attention to monitoring the PH value of the water, so as to avoid corrosion when the PH value is greater than 7, resulting in damage to the mold. Therefore, consider installing an electronic softener to avoid damage to the machine caused by hard water.
Fourth, the selection reference of conventional lower injection molding machine and chiller
If the cooling water condensation temperature of the water-cooled chiller is below 35°C, and the injection molding machine is used under normal ambient temperature, the following matching methods can be used:
The 1hp water-cooled chiller can be equipped with an 80-ton clamping force injection molding machine, and the temperature is controlled at 5-10 degrees;
The 1hp water-cooled chiller can be equipped with a 100-ton clamping force injection molding machine, and the temperature is controlled at 10-15 degrees;
1hp water-cooled chiller can be equipped with a 120-ton clamping force injection molding machine, and the temperature is controlled at 15-20 degrees
In addition, the 1HP water-cooled chiller can be equipped with an injection molding machine with a single injection volume of 10QZ, and the temperature is controlled at 5-10 degrees. (Injection volume 1QZ=28.5g)
The chiller plays a vital role in the production of the injection molding machine, so matching a suitable chiller can better improve the production efficiency.
