The leak point can be checked with phenolphthalein test paper. Leakage of Freon evaporator can be detected by halogen lamp and electronic leak detector. Freon has good compatibility with oil, so there are usually oil stains at the leak. When the halogen lamp is used for leak detection, as the leakage of freon increases, the flame of the halogen lamp. From blue to green, light green, grass green, purple green or purple, the amount of fluorine leakage can be judged by the color of the flame. An electronic leak detector can also be used for leak detection. This kind of instrument has high sensitivity, and it will respond if there is a trace leak detector in the evaporator. It is especially suitable for the leak detection of small freon refrigeration devices. However, when the leakage is serious and there is a large amount of Freon gas in the environmental space, the electronic leak detector cannot work normally because it is too sensitive. The safer method of leak detection is to use soapy water. After evacuating the evaporator, shut down, fill the evaporator with 0.6MPa nitrogen, and use soapy water to detect leaks. Also stop the operation of the refrigeration system to balance the high and low pressure systems to increase the pressure of the evaporator, and then use soapy water to detect leaks.
2. When the frost layer of the evaporation tube is too thick, the tube will bend due to overload and the cooling effect will be poor. Therefore, the evaporator should be defrosted frequently or regularly during routine maintenance. If the evaporator is out of service for a long time, the refrigerant can be pumped into the receiver or condenser for storage, so that the pressure of the evaporator is maintained at about 0.05MPa.
3. When the evaporator of the cooling liquid is out of service for a long time, the refrigerant should be discharged and refilled with clean water to avoid contact between the evaporator pipe and the air. The refrigerant water used in the evaporator should be softened. If scale occurs, the descaling method is the same as that of the condenser.
