In the industrial water chiller, the quality of the compressor determines the working efficiency of the water chiller. At the same time, the compressor also plays an important role in the future after-sales maintenance of the water chiller. Once there is a fault, it will increase the cost of maintaining the water chiller. In order to reduce the maintenance cost of the chiller, the following four methods are recommended to protect the compressor of the chiller.
1、 Prevent liquid hammer
Under normal working conditions, the industrial chiller refrigeration compressor should inhale the dry vapor of the refrigerant. If the refrigerant flow is large, the heat load changes too fast, and the operation is improper, it may inhale the wet vapor, or the liquid refrigerant. If there is too much liquid to be discharged from the exhaust valve, the liquid hammer formed by high pressure will cause damage to the cylinder, valve, piston, connecting rod and other parts. It is suggested that a gas-liquid separator should be installed to separate the liquid entrained in the low-pressure steam and ensure the dry stroke of the compressor; Oil heater is installed to add lubricating oil before the compressor starts, so as to reduce the cooling dose dissolved in the lubricating oil; Or the air valve assembly is tightly pressed on the end of the cylinder with a spring to form a false cover;
2、 Pressure protection
1. Suction and discharge pressure control: if the discharge pressure exceeds the given value, the high pressure control part cuts off the power supply of the compressor and the compressor stops; When the suction pressure is lower than the given value, the low-pressure control part cuts off the power supply of the compressor to stop it and send out an alarm signal.
2. Safety valve: in order to prevent the refrigerant from leaking to the atmosphere, the closed safety valve is generally used, and the safety valve is set on the pipeline between the discharge chamber and the suction chamber of the compressor of the water chiller. 3. Safety membrane: the safety membrane is installed between the suction and discharge chambers. When the suction and discharge pressure difference exceeds the specified value, the membrane will break and the discharge pressure will decrease (a filter screen should be installed on the side of the suction chamber to prevent the broken membrane from falling into the suction chamber).
3. Lubricating oil pressure difference controller: connect the hydraulic pump inlet and the hydraulic pump outlet with the low pressure inlet and high pressure outlet on the lubricating oil pressure difference controller respectively. When the pressure difference between the hydraulic pump outlet and the inlet is too high or too low, the controller will cut off the power supply of the compressor and stop the motor to protect the compressor.
3、 Protection of built-in motor
In order to further ensure that the motor does not overheat, in addition to correct use and attention to maintenance, it is recommended to install overheat relay; The common three-phase motor can not start or overload because of phase loss. Overload relay can be used to avoid the motor damage due to phase loss.
4、 Temperature protection
The main method of exhaust temperature protection is to place the temperature controller near the exhaust port. When the exhaust temperature is too high, the temperature controller will cut off the circuit; The high temperature of the unit shell is mainly caused by the insufficient heat exchange capacity of the condenser. It is recommended to check whether the air volume or water volume and water temperature of the condenser are appropriate, or whether air or other non condensable gases are mixed into the refrigeration system, etc., which need to be carefully observed and detected.
